Illustration & Digital Art

Draw the world before it exists.

Every show begins as a drawing. This program takes you from fundamentals — line, form, light, colour — to finished character sheets and concept frames of the kind our own productions are built on, with your work reviewed the way the studio reviews its own.

What you'll learn

The curriculum.

01

Drawing Fundamentals

Line, form, perspective, gesture and anatomy — daily drills that make everything after them possible.

02

Digital Painting

Light, shadow, colour and edge control in Photoshop and Procreate, from studies to finished frames.

03

Character Design

Shape language, silhouette and appeal; expression sheets and turnarounds a production can actually use.

04

Environments & Props

The places a story happens and the objects its characters hold, designed to stage action clearly.

05

Concept Art & Visual Development

Mood, palette and world-building — developing the look of a show before a single asset is built.

06

Portfolio Term

A personal project art-directed to studio standard, reviewed by working artists until it holds up.

After the year

Where this takes you.

You leave with a specialised portfolio built on real briefs — and a year of habits from a floor that ships. These are the roles this program prepares you for. Admissions open for the next intake — seats are limited.

How the year runs

Twelve months, one craft.

Whichever program you choose, the shape of the year is the same — because it is the shape apprenticeship has always had.

01Months 1–3

Foundations

Fundamentals, daily. Whatever your program, the first term builds the craft basics everything else stands on — with no prior experience assumed.

02Months 4–9

Specialisation

Deep in your discipline. Weekly briefs, weekly reviews, rising difficulty — the same feedback loop the studio's own work goes through.

03Months 10–12

The Studio Floor

Live briefs from real productions. You finish with a portfolio of work made to shipping standard — not classroom exercises.
